Eden Dene Tree Services are passionate when it comes to preserving and protecting the environment. We do our best to have as little impact as possible on the areas that we are working in. Protecting the natural wildlife and their habitats is vitally important to us as we work.
We minimise any disturbance caused to any habitats and if possible we will leave mulch and log piles in position if it benefits the location. Our equipment, where possible uses biodegradable oil to help towards a cleaner environment and habitats.
All our work follows the British Standards (BS 3998) guidelines and we ensure that any trees we work on maintain their good health and appearance.
Environmental Considerations and Wildlife Habitats
There are laws in place to protect nesting birds, eggs and bats and we always follow that guidance to protect the environment. Before we prune or remove any sort of foliage we always ensure that their are no nesting birds in the hedge or tree. To reduce noise pollution we sometimes use traditional sawing methods.
Eden Dene Tree Services follows the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and the guidance from Countryside and The Rights of Way Act 2000 (CRoW).
How We Deal With Waste
An essential element of our Environmental Policy is that as much as possible green waste is recycled. Wood Chippings and Mulch are recycled for allotments and gardens, if we do need to dump waste it goes to recycling centres. Any logs are sent to either recycling centres or resold for firewood.
If suitable to the area we are working in we will leave logs and mulch in situ to aid the local habitat and wildlife areas.
This is a simple way that we can encourage wildlife and reduce any negative effect we have on habitats.
